As promised, here are the caps from Michael and Carly's performances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show last Tuesday. There are 38 total.


This wasn't the first time that Michael and Carly have appeared together since being voted off. The first time was actually right after Carly's elimination on American Idol Extra. Here are 82 caps from that appearance.

Were Michael and Carly FANTASTIC on Ellen or what? These two definitely should have gotten farther in the competition. My dad walked in while I was watching it and said that Michael will probably be one of the most successful contestants and that he ought to have made it to, at least, the Top 3. I told him I couldn't agree more. I don't have video or caps yet of the performances, but look for those in the future.

I've uploaded 8 new scans from OK!, US Weekly, and Star into the Gallery.

OK's March 10th issue had a bunch of Behind the Scenes photos from the first round of the semi-finals, including a picture of Michael and Amanda Overmyer hanging out before the guys' performances.


Jumping a month ahead, OK's April 14th issue featured the Top 9 in a section called "Idol Snaps". There's a little tidbit about each idol, along with a cute childhood photo. Michael's says:

"The Australian admits he misses his childhood stomping ground. 'We've got great beaches and food,' he says. Michael, 29, returned home for the holidays last December. 'It was the first time in five years for Christmas, and it was very surreal because all my memories from there are from when I was a teenager,' he says."



Star's March 31st issue had an article stating that Michael was friends with Heath Ledger. Michael has stated that this is untrue. To read Michael's reactions to the Star story click HERE.


US Weekly's March 17th issue featured a "Great American Idol Poll". Michael beat Carly with 61% in "Who Is the Most Talented Import?".

Here's a set of scans from Entertainment Weekly's March 21st issue. The article is entitled "American's Most Wanted". In it, EW's "Idol experts" give reasons why each of the 12 contestants should win (they state Michael's odds for winning as 15-1). This is what Jeff Jensen has to say about Michael:

"I should hate Michael Johns. How dare the 29-year-old Australian export come to our country and try to win our singing-themed popularity contest! And how dare this terribly good-looking man turn my wife into a swooning schoolgirl! (Sigh.) So why am I rooting for this guy? Because I want to be this guy! He's not only the complete American Idol package, but the complete dude package, too: soulful, humble, mature, boasting cool T-shirts and naturally moisturized lips. Sure, he's got talent--his soaring rendition of "Bohemian Rhapsody" proved he has heaps of it--but I'm taken by his palpable respect for the music itself. As long as he resists the urge to coast, the Down Under wonder deserves to win this thing in a landslide. But please, Michael: Stay away from my wife."

I promised I'd keep the site going, things are just a little hectic at the moment. I rarely have any time to get on a computer, and if I do it's to write a paper for school.
